The first on the short list below seems to have received the best reviews (and has just been put on my own reading list): The last Chinese chef By Nicole Mones The feasting season: a novel by Nancy Coons Blue plate special: a novel of love, loss, and food by Frances Norris Lunch with Elizabeth David by Roger Williams Travels with Dubinsky and Clive by David Gurevich J Dub - I have yet to read a fiction book about food and travel since I stick to non-fiction on these topics, but I did find a few that look interesting. The gentleman was looking for FICTION works that dealt with Food and Travel. A number of us directed him to the travel literature section where he would have found stories about food and travel, or to the writer's on food area or even to the biography section, but this customer was only interested in works of fiction. The only books that my co-workers and I could come up with were Chocolate and the mystery series by Fluke, the latter of which doesn't really cover the travel aspect he was looking for, so far as I can tell. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a list like this?
